Mr. Carrick, while the Program Director at CAB Boston, served as the Chairman of the Acute Treatment Services Committee (State Funded Detox Programs) for the Mental Health and Addictions Consortium of Massachusetts.
Certification:
Mr. Carrick received his Certification in Addictions after taking the Certified Addictions Registered Nurse (CARN) exam in January of 2007. He has worked in Addictions and Mental Health for over 25 years. He is a member of the International Nurses Society on Addictions (IntNSA) and serves as a trustee for the Foundation of Addiction Nursing (FAN).
The field of addictions is in an exciting period, both in talk therapies, and medication therapies. Mr. Carrick has mutual working relationships with experts in the field of addictions throughout the United States. He has experts available in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Medication Management.
Mr. Carrick has current Registered Nurse licensure in the following states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Texas. He has recently assisted with a home detox in Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Tampa, New York / Manhattan, Boston, Dallas, Houston, and Las Vegas. He has developed contacts in each of these states and cities.
Mr. Carrick has presented his unique treatment model to the International Nurses Society on Addictions annual conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico and to McLeanHospital at the Marguerite Conrad Celebration day where he was a featured speaker.
Mr. Carrick has 23 years of sobriety. He values his sobriety and attributes it to positive connections in his life. Executive Home Detox values the self-help programs but does not mandate the use of Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, or Smart Recovery.
